iBeat Company and Product Update – July 2017

Summer is in full swing here at iBeat, and we’re excited to share we recently hired three new executives. These new executives, two of which hail from Apple and one of which teaches at Stanford University, will be helping us on several fronts – hardware and manufacturing, supply chain management, and clinical testing. We are pleased to have Dr. Mintu Turakhia, Associate Professor at Stanford University leading our clinical efforts, Roby DeManche overseeing our  manufacturing operations and logistics, and Drew Atkinson on the hardware side.

Dr. Turakhia is a practicing cardiac electrophysiologist, outcomes researcher, and Associate Professor of Medicine at Stanford University. As our new Head of Clinical, Dr. Turakhia will focus on clinical validation and outcomes studies that best leverage our technology for patients, consumers, and caregivers like yourself and your loved ones. Roby and Drew hail from Apple, Samsung, Ford Motor Company, and several other notable consumer product companies including Nest, GoPro, and smart oven maker, June.

We’re thrilled to welcome these remarkable individuals to our team and are humbled by the tremendous interest we’ve seen in our product and from our supporting network. The growing interest and user demand we’ve seen thus far not only validates the important work our team has done in demonstrating the iBeat watch’s ability to recognize life-threatening heart emergencies, but is also an affirmation of our technology and will help sustain our greater vision to reduce preventable deaths from these emergencies.

We look forward to continuing our mission of making a massive impact on the community, and we’re excited to have your unwavering support along our journey.
