What is the 100Plus watch?

100Plus is a Personal Emergency and Remote Monitoring watch. It functions like an everyday watch - shows you the time and allows you to set an alarm - but it also automatically monitors your heart health and activity, can detect if you fall, and continuously shares this information with your doctor. If you push the emergency button, the watch contacts emergency dispatch and your loved ones to get you emergency help. Simply wear it on your wrist at all times - and stay independent and active with peace of mind knowing your watch is with you every step of the way.

How much does it cost?

As part of Medicare's Remote Patient Monitoring programs, the watch and services are provided at no cost to Medicare patients, and there are no ongoing fees.You must have Medicare along with a secondary insurance, such as MediGap, to ensure that you do not receive any co-pay fees.

How do I order a watch?

The 100Plus watch and service is provided to Medicare patients, upon recommendation by your doctor.The best way to get started is to tell your provider you are interested in this device. If your doctor/therapist has not heard about us yet, feel free to direct them to our website, 100plus.com. We make it super easy for them to get started.You can also have your provider call 844-483-7587 and press Option 1 for sales or Option 2 for customer support.

What will arrive with my watch?

Congratulations on signing up for a watch!Your watch will arrive fully configured and ready to wear. You will receive a shipment that contains: the watch, a user manual, a charging dock, a magnetic battery pack, and a wall adapter.

How big is the watch?

The watch is 45mm (1.77 in.) across and 48mm (1.93 in.) top-to-bottom, including the bezel and button. It weighs 73 grams (2.6 oz.) It is designed to be stylish, lightweight, and comfortable.

Where can I use the watch?

The watch operates using cellular signal via cellular towers: it does not require Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The watch has full functionality everywhere in the United States where it can establish a cellular connection. For maximum benefit, you should wear the watch at all times (including sleeping) and remove only for limited instances (like bathing or swimming).If you are out of cellular network - say, traveling abroad - the watch's heart rate sensor will continue to track heart rate and activity. But in the event of an emergency, no cellular or emergency communication will be available.

I live outside of the United States. Can I still get the watch?

At this time, the 100Plus watch is only available to patients covered by Medicare, and the services associated with the watch only work within cellular networks inside the United States.Keep us in mind for the future in case we are able to expand to more locations!

I am not on Medicare. Can I buy the watch out of pocket?

At this time, the 100Plus watch is only available to eligible Medicare patients. We want to ensure that this product is available at no cost to patients. Please keep us in mind for the future!

 Getting Started

I received my watch. How do I get started?

Congratulations on receiving your watch! Your watch comes pre-configured and automatically connected to cellular networks. All you need to do is try it on, adjust the band to fit your wrist, and start wearing it!
Adjusting the bandYou may need to adjust the size of the band to fit your wrist. Try the watch on to see if you need to make it looser or tighter. If you need to adjust it, follow the steps below until you achieve a good fit.
ChargingYou watch should arrive fully charged. To make sure your watch that it is, plug your charging dock into a nearby outlet, place the watch on the dock facing away from the charging cable, and ensure that the watch illuminates with the green "Charging" screen, as shown below.

How do I adjust my watch band?

You may need to adjust the size of the band to fit your wrist. Try the watch on to see if you need to make it looser or tighter. If you need to adjust it, follow the steps below until you achieve a good fit.
The watch should fit comfortably and snugly - not loose but not too tight. It should sit flat on the top side of your wrist, 2” away from where your wrist and hand meet. It’s important that the watch make contact with the top of your wrist at all times, so it can get a good reading.TIP: When the watch fits properly, the ‘Heart’ icon will appear on the watch face to indicate the watch is getting a good heart reading. If you don’t see this icon, you may need to readjust the watch.

How do I ensure a proper fit?

In order to ensure a proper fit, adjust the watch band size by moving the metal pin to the appropriate hole. Try the watch on to ensure a good fit and adjust if necessary. For more information, see the section on adjusting your watch band.TIP: When the watch fits properly, the ‘Heart’ icon will appear on the watch face to indicate the watch is getting a good heart reading. If you don’t see this icon, you may need to readjust the watch.

Can I wear the watch on other parts of my body other than my wrist?

No, the watch must be worn on top of your wrist only. For the best reading, the watch should sit 2 inches away from where your wrist and hand meet.

 Using The Watch

How do I know if I'm wearing the watch correctly?

The watch should fit comfortably and snugly - not loose but not too tight. It should sit flat on the top side of your wrist, 2 inches away from where your wrist and hand meet. It’s important that the watch make contact with the top of your wrist at all times, so it can get a good reading.
When the watch fits properly, the ‘Heart’ icon will appear on the watch face to indicate the watch is getting a good heart reading. If you don’t see this icon, you may need to readjust the watch.

What happens when I press the emergency help button?

If you press and hold the emergency help button, an alarm is sent to our emergency dispatch center.The first thing our operators will do is call you. The watch cannot make or receive phone calls, so the operator will call the phone number you entered when setting up your account.If you do not answer the call from our operators, our team is instructed to escalate to local 911 services. It is critical that you are near your phone and answer anytime you press the emergency help button.We also automatically send out text messages to any emergency contacts with mobile phones listed in your account. They will receive a link to a status page about your emergency, including whether it's been cancelled or not.

How do I cancel an emergency?

To cancel the alarm, press the emergency help button again. This will bring up a new screen “Cancel emergency?” Press "yes" and answer the following questions: "Did you get help?" and "Do you still need help?"If it was a false alarm, simply tap "no" for each of these questions and we'll cancel the alarm.

How do I see my heart rate?

Power the watch on by clicking the single large button at the bottom of the watch. Scroll from right to left with any finger until you locate "Heart Rate." Tap "Heart Rate." Wait a few moments until you see you resting heart rate.

How do I set an alarm?

Power the watch on by clicking the single large button at the bottom of the watch. Scroll from right to left with any finger until you locate "Alarm Clock Off." Tap "Alarm Clock Off," and "Add Alarm".With any finder scroll up and down until you locate your desired time, click "Next," set am/pm, click "Next, " select the days you'd like the alarm to apply to by tapping the day and click "Set" to turn the alarm on.

How do I turn off the alarm clock?

If you have set up an alarm and wish to turn it off, simply follow these steps:
  1. Go to "Alarm" screen and tap screen
  2. Click the Alarm time that is already listed
  3. Scroll screen up until you see "Delete" option
  4. Click "Delete" to remove that alarm time
  5. Scroll up and click the "Back" option to exit out

Is the watch monitored 24 hours day?

Yes, the watch continuously monitors your heart rate and can detect whether you fall - for as long as you are wearing the watch. Our operators are available 24/7 to respond in case you have an emergency and need help.

Is the watch waterproof?

The watch is water resistant but not waterproof. You may, for example, wear and use it during exercise (exposure to sweat is okay), in the rain, and while washing your hands. If water splashes onto the watch, wipe it off with a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. Try to minimize exposing the watch to perfume, soap, solvents, detergent, acids or acidic foods, soapy water, insect repellent, lotions, sunscreen, oil, or hair dye.You may use the watch for shallow water activities like swimming in a pool or ocean, but should not be used in a sauna, steam room, scuba diving, water skiing, or other activities involving high-temperature water, high-velocity water or deep submersion. Water resistance is not a permanent condition and may diminish over time. The watch cannot be checked or re-sealed for water resistance.

What happens if I drop the watch?

Please handle the watch with care. It contains sensitive electronic components and can be damaged if dropped, struck, punctured, or crushed. The case may chip, scratch, or crack if dropped or subjected to a forceful impact. Do not use a damaged watch, as it may cause injury. Avoid heavy exposure to heat, dust or sand.

Can I replace the watch band?

The watch band is not replaceable. It comes in two sizes (small/medium and medium/large) and is designed to be very comfortable on your wrist. If it does not fit comfortably, see the help section on how to adjust your band.

Can I wear my watch on vacation?

The watch will work anywhere in the United States where it has a cellular connection and coverage.

Can I use my watch on an airplane?

notices that prohibit or restrict the use of electronic devices (for example, in healthcare facilities or on airplanes).Although the watch is designed, tested, and manufactured to comply with regulations governing radiofrequency emissions, such emissions may affect or interfere with the operation of other electronic equipment. Use Airplane Mode when use is prohibited, such as while traveling in aircraft, or when asked to do so by authorities.

If I change time zones, how do I get the time to update?

The watch updates time whenever it connects to the cellular network. This normally happens when the watch is charged sufficiently, but can also be achieved by selecting "Update Time" from the System menu.

Is it safe to wear on my wrist all day and night?

Yes! The watch was designed to be worn around-the-clock, and it's an FCC and carrier-certified device that transmits far less frequencies than a standard cell phone. The sensor technology has been thoroughly tested, and it is completely safe to wear on your wrist and skin.

How accurate is the watch?

The accuracy of the information and data provided by the device and its related software and service, including heart rate readings, may be affected by factors such as environmental conditions, cellular connectivity issues, skin condition, specific activity performed while wearing the device, setting of the device, user configuration/user provided information, placement of the sensor on the wrist, and other end-user interactions.

 Battery and Charging

How do I charge my watch?

Depending on usage, your watch should last several days before needing to be recharged.You have two options to charge your watch:Take it off and put it on a charging dock plugged into the wall Continue to wear your watch, and charge it using the external battery pack that easily clips on to the side of the watch face To charge with the dock, simply plug the dock into a regular wall outlet and place the watch in the curved slot with the three metal pins on the side of the watch (9 o'clock position) facing down. The watch should magnetically clip into place. Make sure the watch face is pointed away from the cord coming out of the back of the dock. The watch takes a little over one hour to charge completely.
If you do not want to remove your watch to charge it, you may use the external battery pack included with your device to charge your watch while keeping it on your wrist.First, make sure the external battery pack is charged. To do so, place it on the back of the charging dock with the curved side down. When the charging pack is charging, the blue light will flash. The external charging pack will fully charge after 2 hours.To charge your watch, place the external battery pack so the 3 pins on the left side of the watch match the 3 pins on the external charging pack. The blue light will flash. The watch screen will turn green and state, “Watch Charged,” when complete.
TIP: Make sure the watch, charger, and portable charging pack are dry before charging. Charging when moisture is present can cause a fire, electric shock, injury, or damage to the watch or other property. Avoid charging in direct sunlight or extreme heat. Charging or using the watch in an area with a potentially explosive atmosphere, such as in areas where the air contains high levels of flammable chemicals, vapors, or particles may be hazardous. Obey all signs and instructions.

What should I do if I forget to charge my device?

Your watch will last several days off of a single charge.To ensure you always have a charged watch, we suggest charging the battery pack prior to leaving your home and bringing the battery pack with you in case your watch runs out of battery.

Can I use other chargers with the 100Plus watch?

Please only use the charging dock or portable charging battery that came with your watch.

How long is the battery life?

The 100Plus watch will last several days before needing to be recharged. Battery life varies by use, the cellular network, signal strength, and many other factors; actual results will vary.

  Emergencies

What happens when I press the emergency help button?

An operator from our monitoring service will call the phone number you entered when setting up your watch. If you do not answer, the operator will escalate to your local emergency dispatch and also contact your designated emergency contacts.If you do answer your phone and speak to the operator, you can request (or decline) the type of help you need. Depending on the nature of the emergency, you can request help from your contacts, 911, or decline help altogether.

What happens if I set off the emergency alert by accident?

No need to worry - you can cancel the emergency.To cancel an emergency, press the Emergency Help Button again until you see the “Cancel Emergency?” screen. The watch will ask if you received help or still need help. If you indicate you no longer need help, it will stop all first responders and emergency contacts from coming to your aid.If you do not cancel your emergency promptly on the watch, the operator will call you on the phone line you provided when you registered. You can tell the operator at that time to cancel the emergency if you do not need help.

How do I test how my watch responds in an emergency?

WARNING: PLEASE DO NOT PERFORM A TEST USING THE BUTTON ON THE BOTTOM OF THE WATCH.
You can periodically test the watch without triggering an alert to our dispatch or your emergency contacts.The emergency test is in the "Systems" menu under "Test Emergency." Before you begin, be sure to be near your primary phone number you entered earlier.1. On your watch, swipe to the left until you see “System” and tap the screen
2. Tap the the menu item “Test Emergency”
3. Look for the prompt “Test Emergency Mode?”4. Click the red “Run” button
5. The next screen reads “THIS IS A TEST Are you OK?”
6. Tap the red “No” button
7. Wait for a call - this may take up to 60 seconds

Who will the operators send to help me?

In the event of an emergency, our operators can notify local 911, your designated emergency contacts, or both.If you request professional help or do not answer the phone call from our operators, we will dispatch emergency services to your location. Depending on the emergency you can expect either police, firefighters, and or ambulance to be dispatched to the location of the emergency.

Who will the operators send to help me?

In the event of an emergency, our operators can notify local 911, your designated emergency contacts, or both.If you request professional help or do not answer the phone call from our operators, we will dispatch emergency services to your location. Depending on the emergency you can expect either police, firefighters, and or ambulance to be dispatched to the location of the emergency.

How do I clean my watch?

Keep your watch clean and dry. Clean and dry your watch and your skin after workouts, heavy sweating, or contact with water.Clean your watch if it comes in contact with anything that may cause stains or other damage, such as dirt or sand, makeup, ink, soap, detergent, acids or acidic foods, or comes in contact with liquids other than fresh water, including those that may lead to skin irritation such as sweat, salt water, soapy water, pool water, perfume, insect repellent, lotions, sunscreen, oil, adhesive remover, hair dye, or solvents.How to clean: Wipe clean with a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth. If necessary, you can also lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water. Dry with a non-abrasive, lint-free cloth.To avoid damaging the watch, observe the following: Don’t dry using an external heat source (for example, a hairdryer).Don’t use cleaning products, ultrasonic cleaners, or compressed air when cleaning your watchCertain usage patterns can contribute to the fraying or breaking of cables. The cable attached to a charging dock, like any other metal wire or cable, may become weak or damaged if repeatedly bent in the same area. Regularly inspect the cable and connector for any damage. Should you find any damage, discontinue use of the cable.

How do I troubleshoot my watch?

Most issues can be resolved by resetting the watch, and there are a few ways to do so.If the screen is working and you can navigate the menus, swipe from right to left until you get to "System" (it's the last menu item).
From this menu, scroll down until you get to "Factory Reset" and tap this menu item.
You can then confirm the reset. You will not lose any information, but it will put the watch back in the original settings.You can also simply shut down the watch, and turn it back on. To do so, go to the "System" menu and tap "Shut Down"

What if I no longer want my watch?

Your watch has important benefits - it allows you to get help and be protected in the event of an emergency, and it sends your health information to your doctor so they can monitor you remotely.If you no longer want to receive these benefits, please call our customer service center at (844) 483-7587, Option 2 to arrange returning the watch.

I need to return my defective watch. What do I do?

To return a watch for any reason, please email support@100plus.com. The customer support team will send you a USPS return label, and all you need to do it place the watch and accessories in a box, attach the return label to the box, and send it back via USPS.

What should I do if my skin is getting irritated under the watch?

Some people may experience reactions to certain materials used in jewelry, watches, and other wearable items that are in prolonged contact with their skin. This can be due to allergies, environmental factors, extended exposure to irritants like soap, sweat, or other causes.You may be more likely to experience irritation from any wearable device if you have allergies or other sensitivities. If you have known skin sensitivities, please take special care when wearing the watch. Keeping the band clean and dry will reduce the possibility of skin irritation.If you experience irritation or discomfort on your skin around, or beneath, your watch, please remove and consult your physician before resuming wear. Continued use, even after symptoms subside, may result in renewed or increased irritation.
